Summary

SENSATIO stores your notes, goals and journal so you can use them on any device, and it keeps them private to your account. We do not sell your data or show ads. Your text leaves SENSATIO only when you use an AI feature (such as Analyse my map) or turn on the optional daily AI check, and then it goes to our AI provider, Anthropic, to produce the reply. You can delete your account and all its data at any time from inside the app.

What we collect

  • Account details: your email address and the name you give us, and, if you sign up with an email address, a password. The password is handled by our login provider and is never stored in readable form.
  • Sign in with Google (optional, where it is offered): if you choose Continue with Google, Google tells our login provider your name, your email address (and that Google has verified it), your profile picture link and Google’s internal ID for your account. We ask for nothing more than these basic details. We cannot see your Gmail, Drive, Calendar, contacts or anything else in your Google account, and we never see your Google password. We use your name and email address to run your account, as for any other account; we do not show or use your profile picture. If you do not use Google, none of this applies to you.
  • Your content: the notes, journal entries, goals, contacts, deadlines and daily anchors you add to your account. This includes your answers to the guided questions, which are saved as plain text in the note of the area they belong to. The questions are fixed and built into the app, so nothing you type there is sent to an assistant.
  • AI messages: what you type into the SENSATIO assistant (your chat history is saved in your account so it follows you between devices), the note text you choose to send to an AI feature, and the recent entries (upcoming deadlines, open goals and the start of recent journal entries) used by Check my priorities and the optional daily check, and, when you tap Analyse my map, your node notes, goals, deadlines and your 10 most recent journal entries (each shortened).
  • Your settings: your reminder choices, and your preferences (theme, language, diagram colours and layout, whether AI features are on, the reply length and tone you chose for the assistant, which Home cards you hid, which areas you chose "Not now" for on the suggestion card, whether the short journal note after writing is on and the day it last appeared (the note is a fixed message chosen on your device; nothing is sent), which lines of your notes and journal entries are headings, bold or italic (the text itself is saved as plain text, and this formatting is never sent to the assistant), and which introductions and tips you have already seen), saved in your account so they follow you between devices. Your choice to reduce animation is kept only on the device you set it on. The opening screen is shown once per browser tab: a small note that it has played is kept in that tab only and is gone when you close it.
  • Daily Check-in: the one mood (of five) you pick for today, saved in your account. It only colours your Me star for that day.
  • Sky Timeline: one small record per day (updated as you edit): how many entries each of the eleven areas held and when each was last edited (it contains none of your note text), saved in your account so you can slide back through time. The first days of this record may be estimated from when your notes were last edited.
  • Life Compass: a short record (the last 50) of which lens you picked and which built-in question was shown, saved in your account. The questions themselves are built into the app; nothing is sent to anyone to produce them.
  • Voice input: if you tap the microphone, your browser’s own speech-recognition service (which may send your voice to its provider, such as Google or Apple) turns your speech into text. SENSATIO does not record, receive or store audio; only the resulting text is typed into the box.
  • Spoken replies: if you turn on “Voice for replies” in Settings and tap Listen, your device reads that reply aloud with a voice already installed on the device. The text is not sent anywhere for this, and SENSATIO does not record or store audio. Nothing is ever read aloud by itself. The setting is off by default and saved on this device only.
  • Feedback: if you answer the short feedback card ("How is SENSATIO working for you?") or choose Send feedback in Settings: your rating (1 to 5), the category and comment if you add them (a comment is up to 1,000 characters), the app language and the date, stored with your account. Nothing from your notes, journal or map and no device information is added. Separately, a few small settings are stored with your other settings so the card is not asked too often: the date you last answered or chose Not now, whether you chose Don’t ask again, and a count of your visits.
  • Email notifications (optional, off by default, signed-in accounts only): only if you switch on the overdue reminder email or the weekly summary email in Settings > Notifications, SENSATIO keeps a small separate copy in our database: your email address (copied from your account), your language and time zone, the day of the week you chose, the titles (cut to 80 characters) and dates of your open overdue tasks (up to 20) and of your calendar events in the next 7 days (up to 10), for items in Today’s goals the day each first appeared there, plain counts (areas filled, checklist items ticked and in total, how many are overdue, for the last 8 days), when you agreed to each email, when you last opened the app, and a log of the emails sent (date and type only). If you switch on the weekly summary, the copy also holds up to three short headline lines (for example “Overdue now: 2”) that your browser works out from your weekly review, in your language. Only if you also switch on “Include details in the email” does it hold the full review text instead of only those lines: how many areas are filled, which areas changed, the balance between areas, your goals and overdue items, and what is coming in the next 7 days. These lines are replaced whenever your browser refreshes the copy, and are cleared when you switch details or the weekly email off. The copy never includes the text of your notes, your journal, your contacts or the content of your map, and the weekly email never mentions journal activity, contacts, routines, or your Me, Internal Support and External Support areas.
  • Weekly review (in the app): a screen in SENSATIO that looks back over the last 7 days: the state of your map, what changed, the balance between areas, goals and overdue items, support, what is coming and suggestions. It is worked out on your own device from your own entries by fixed rules; nothing is sent anywhere to produce it, no AI model is used, and it needs no extra stored data beyond a small record of daily counts (areas filled, checklist items ticked and in total, for the last 8 days) kept on your device only. It can be opened by guests and by signed-in people; signed-in people can also open it from the link in the weekly email.
  • Saved analysis: if you use Analyse my map, the result (short points with brief quotes from your own text), its date, and your choice to continue are saved in your account so they follow you between devices. Deleting your account deletes them.
  • Usage count: a daily count of your AI requests, so the daily limit can be enforced. An analysis counts as three of them once it finishes; one that fails or is stopped counts as one.
  • Guest mode: if you continue as a guest, your content stays in your browser on your device. It is not sent to our servers and we cannot see it. If you later move that guest content into an account, a backup copy of it stays in this browser, on that device only, until you clear the device or delete the account.

How we use it

We use your information only to run SENSATIO: to keep you signed in, save and sync your content between your devices, send account emails (sign-up confirmation, password reset), send the optional notification emails you switched on, show on-screen reminders for items that are due or overdue (worked out on your device), show you the Insights Engine pages that are worked out on your device (including the Knowledge Graph, which reads the areas you linked to journal entries and contacts; contacts are never sent to the AI), and produce AI replies. Each account can read only its own content. We do not sell your data, share it for advertising, or use your notes to train AI models.

Feedback is used only to improve SENSATIO. It is stored in our database and can be read only by the person who runs SENSATIO, in the database dashboard; the app itself cannot read it back, and it is not shared or sold. Deleting your account deletes your feedback with it.

Who handles your data for us

  • Supabase (accounts, login, the database and the job that sends the optional notification emails; receives your email, password (protected) and saved content, and, if you use Google sign-in, the basic Google details listed above).
  • Google (only if you choose Continue with Google, where it is offered: confirms who you are and passes those basic details on; it learns that you signed in to SENSATIO, and its own privacy policy applies to your Google account).
  • Netlify (hosts the website and server functions; receives standard web request data such as IP address).
  • Resend (sends account emails and the optional notification emails; receives your email address and the email text).
  • Anthropic (writes AI replies; receives the text you send to an AI feature).

These companies process data on our behalf to provide the service and have their own privacy policies.

Notification emails are sent only to the address of your account and only for the emails you switched on. The overdue reminder email goes out when a dated task or goal is still open 2 days after its date, or an item in Today’s goals is still unticked 2 days after it first appeared there (at most 5 items listed, at most one reminder email a week, at most two reminders per item). The weekly summary goes out once a week on the day you choose. By default it has your numbers and three headline lines from your weekly review, and a button that opens the review inside the app (you must be signed in); with “Include details in the email” it carries the full review instead. Both are sent around 9:00 in your time zone, at most one automatic email a day. They are built by plain code from the small copy described above, not by an AI model. Nothing is sent if you have not opened SENSATIO for 30 days. Every email has a link to switch it off with one click, and you can switch them off in Settings > Notifications.

AI features

AI works only when you are signed in, and only when you ask or when you turn on the optional daily check. When you send a message or use a feature such as sorting notes into categories, the text involved is sent through our server to Anthropic, which returns the reply. Unless you turn on the daily check, nothing from your notes or messages is sent in the background. Check my priorities, and the optional daily check, send a limited set of your recent entries (your upcoming deadlines, your open goals and the start of your recent journal entries) to Anthropic once to pick what needs attention. Analyse my map is never started automatically. Before the first time, SENSATIO shows a notice listing what will be sent and asks you to continue or cancel. When you continue and tap the button, your node notes, goals, deadlines and up to your 10 most recent journal entries (each shortened) are sent through our server to Anthropic, which returns a structured analysis. The result is saved in your account with its date, so reopening the page sends nothing again. You can run it again after your content changes, up to 3 times a day. The analysis never changes your notes, goals or calendar. The daily check is off by default and you can turn it off any time in Account > Reminders. The AI can suggest notes to add, but nothing is saved to your account until you tap Add (in the chat, or on a recommendation in the Insights Engine, where you see the exact line and can edit it first). Please do not put highly sensitive information such as passwords or payment details into the AI. Guests cannot use the AI. You can switch AI features off completely in Settings > Assistant; while they are off, nothing is sent to our AI provider. When you use the assistant or the help inside notes, your chosen reply length and tone (two preset values, not free text) are sent along with your message.

Your choices

  • Use it as a guest: your content stays on your device only.
  • Sign in with Google is optional: you can always use an email address and password, or the app as a guest. If you used Google, deleting your account here removes your account and content from SENSATIO but does not delete your Google account; you can remove SENSATIO’s access in your Google Account under Security, Third-party apps and services.
  • Move guest content into an account: when you sign in, you can bring your guest content into your account.
  • Delete your account: in the Account panel, choose Delete account and type DELETE. This permanently removes your account and all the content stored in it.
  • Delete a saved analysis: use Delete this analysis on the Insights Engine page. It is also deleted with your account, and by Delete journal only and Delete goals only in Settings.
  • Turn feedback questions off: in Settings > About, switch off Ask me for feedback, or choose Don’t ask again on the card. You can still send feedback from Settings whenever you want.
  • Turn notification emails off: in Settings > Notifications, or with the link at the bottom of any notification email. Switching “Include details in the email” off clears the full review text from the copy straight away. Switching both emails off deletes the small copy described above; it is also deleted with your account.
  • Turn AI features off: in Settings > Assistant. Nothing is sent to our AI provider while they are off.
  • Be asked again before your notes are sent: in Settings > Privacy & Data, choose Show the notices again. This also switches the daily check off.
  • Turn reminders off: switch date reminders or the daily AI check off at any time in Account > Reminders.
  • Clear this device: you can also clear the content stored on the current device without deleting your account.

Retention, security, children and contact

We keep your content until you delete it or your account. Data is encrypted in transit, and access to each account's content is restricted to that account. No online service can promise perfect security.

SENSATIO is not intended for children under 16. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.

If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we will update the date at the top. Questions, feedback or requests: support@sensatio.app. If you write to us (for example with the Send feedback button, which opens your email app with a blank message), we receive what you write and your email address, and we use it only to reply. SENSATIO adds no account data, notes or journal text to the message.
